Bath Rugby Foundation CEO, Lynne Fernquest, said: “This is an incredible opportunity for our charity. We love to celebrate the successes of our participants and to be able to hold our Awards Night.

"It is always an amazing night, full of smiles and happy tears.

"We hope that supporters of both Bath Rugby Foundation and Bath Rugby will vote for us to win."

Bath and North East Somerset Council and the Bath Chronicle met last week to whittle them down to a shortlist of seven, including Bath Rugby Foundation.

Bath Chronicle/Bath.Live editor Emma Slee said: “It was an incredibly tough task. We had to speak to all entries to ensure they could take on the demanding undertaking of organising a large event, which is no mean feat.

"Following that process, and after looking at how the each event would benefit the community, we were able to select the shortlist.

We were initially looking to identify five finalists but the standard of entries was so strong, we expanded the list to seven."

The finalists will go head-to-head in a public vote that will go live on the Bath Live website on September 14. Keep an eye out for it at www.Bath.Live
