The Clash returns this April when 60,000 Bath fans will head up the M4 to watch the Blue, Black and White at the home of English rugby.

And the good news for Bath Rugby Foundation is that every time a supporter buys a ticket, Bath Rugby’s charity could earn a £5 donation.

However, in order for the Foundation to earn this cash boost, supporters need to use this link:

Every year the Clash provides Bath Rugby Foundation with an opportunity to reach a huge audience, improve awareness of our work and provide youngsters with a once in a lifetime opportunity.

In both 2018 and 2019 youngsters taking part in Foundation programmes took to the famous field at half time, providing life-long memories. Two years ago Twickenham hosted its first mixed ability rugby contest when youngsters took on their counterparts from Leicester and last year it was women’s rugby that took centre stage when girls who had only started playing a few months earlier on our Project Rugby programme who ran out at HQ.

The Clash also provides Bath Rugby Foundation with a vital fundraising opportunity. The Foundation is independently governed and financed and income is raised through grants and donations. The chance to a part of Bath Rugby’s biggest day of the season is essential to the Foundation’s work with young people in the city.

Bath Rugby Foundation’s CEO, Lynne Fernquest, said: “Every ticket for the Clash will help fund the Foundation’s vital work.

“Bath Rugby Foundation works to empower children and young people who have had the toughest start to life. Around 20 per cent of Bath’s children live in poverty - 1 in every 5. Poverty has a detrimental effect on every aspect of a young person’s life – from their education, their physical and mental health, to their employment opportunities.

“The knock-on effect of this inequality is also felt in every part of our community. Bath Rugby Foundation believes by developing ALL children and young people we will create a stronger community and stronger communities are better for EVERYONE.

“We work in three areas – Education, Employability and Inclusion, with health underpinning all three. In every area of our work we see improved confidence and resilience.”

As well as purchasing tickets through the Foundation’s link, Bath Rugby supporters will be able to support the charity’s work in a number of ways at the Clash. We will have a base in the West fan Village before kick off and after the final whistle where we will host a kick/pass challenge; we will be selling £1 raffle tickets all around Twickenham, including in the hospitality areas before the match; and supporters can even support the Foundation by drinking beer and cider….or at least handing over their empty cups to our volunteers as we earn £1 for every cup we collect!
