in 2016 I was diagnosed with a large high grade rare and cancerous tumour, a Sarcoma. Following radiotherapy I had limb saving surgery, some 1mm, the width of the ain artery in to my foot, was the difference that meant I didn't have an amputation. My left calf muscle was removed along with my fibula bone.

Running is tricky, as you can imagine! It's not a pretty sight and having once been very sporty I can find it very frustrating. That said, I am so happy to have good health and my leg!

Running 13.1 miles will be difficult and I am sure emotional, but I am hoping it will feel excellent to do it again having thought I might never have that chance.
How wonderful to do it with a team, wearing the Bath Rugby colours. Sarah Baker
