Bath Rugby Foundation is offering young people the exciting opportunity of being part of a National Citizenship Services (NCS) programme.

NCS is a life-changing programme which is open to all teenagers aged 16 to 17 years old to discover who they are and what they can do.

The NCS programme is a four-phase programme specifically designed to provide you with:

  • New experiences
  • New skills
  • Confidence boosting
  • Boost your UCAS statement if you’re thinking about University
  • Boost your CV
  • Meet new people
  • Have lots of fun!

The NCS programme is broken down into 4 phases:

Phase 1 (October27 to October 30 - during half term) – Adventure: Feel the freedom of the outside world for four days and three nights away from home, taking on adrenaline-fueled activities like coasteering, kayaking and team building activities in Paignton, Devon. Your team will cheer you on every step of the way, experiencing every challenge and every success.

Phase 2 (October 31 to November 2 - during half term) – Discovery: You’ll spend a few days with the Foundation team at our Hub. You’ll learn new skills for your future, from practicing your leadership skills and how to budget etc.

Phase 3 (starting November 7 - in the evenings after school) – Social Action: Now it’s time to make your mark. After your week on NCS, you head back home with your newfound skills and confidence to launch a social action project based on an issue you feel passionate about – the more original, the better! This is your chance to feel proud by making a real difference in your community.

Phase 4 (November 25 - TBC) – Celebration: Finally, take stock of all you’ve achieved. You’ll have overcome challengers, pushed yourself into new and exciting territories and had experiences you never thought possible. Celebrate your triumphs with your fellow NSC participants.

The cost of this exciting opportunity is only £25, which includes the following:

  • Transport to and from Paignton, Devon
  • Accommodation at activity
  • All activities planned and organised on the trip
  • Meals at activity centre (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
  • All activities planned, organised in phase 2, 3 and 4 of the programme
