Every year, the Premiership Rugby Community Awards are a huge celebration for us here at the Foundation. 

It's a time for some of our most hardworking students, volunteers, coaches and participants to be recognised for their efforts throughout the year. 

This year, we had the most nominees out of all the other Premiership Rugby clubs, with Morgan, Alex, Charlie and Peter all nominated for their brilliant work this year. 

Travelling to Westminster for the prestigious ceremony, all of the nominees were treated like the VIPs they are, supported by their fellow coaches and family members. 

Winning the Rugby Ambassador of the Year Award, Morgan was welcomed to the stage to cheers and applause to collect his awards.

Morgan has been with the Foundation since he was seven and was nominated in the Rugby Ambassador of the Year category.

Being part of the Foundation's programmes has opened doors for Morgan he was not aware of before. Through mentoring, encouragement and friendship, Morgan has built up his confidence so profoundly that he is now a well-known and popular member of the Walcot Warriors Mixed Ability Rugby team. 

Alex, winning the Community Coach of the Year, is the Foundation's very own diversity champion and works across a multitude of programmes. 

Leading the first Mixed Ability Rugby team in Wiltshire at Melksham Stags, Alex has embedded himself firmly in the community and seen him transition over 40 young players into grassroots clubs. 

Alex recently set up the first girls' team at Combe Down RFC, seeing the squad currently stand at 25 players. 

When announced as a nominee for the Award, Alex received a huge outpouring of love from people across social media, from parents to participants to colleagues. 

Alex has introduced over 60 new players to teams across the South West this season alone giving Bath some of the highest transition numbers across the country. 

Of their achievements, coach at the Foundation and ex-Welsh Rugby player, Caryl Thomas, who was with the nominees at Westminster, said: "We’re so proud of all four nominees, their journeys and their impact across the community.  The standard of the awards is always so high.

"With each of the 12 Premiership clubs nominating participants, Bath Rugby Foundation had the highest number of nominees from the whole of England. It was a great day for all involved and fantastic to share with families and supporters.

"Westminster is a special building with so much history, most of the nominees and their families had never been there, making it an extra special day and a memory to cherish”.
