Former Bath players Gareth Chilcott, Stuart Barnes, Kevin Yates, along with host David Trick, treated us to a journey down memory lane.

Bath Rugby Supporters Club organised a wonderful evening with former Bath players, Gareth Chilcott, Stuart Barnes, Kevin Yates, hosted by David Trick.

It was billed as a Q&A with Bath legends, (not a term that sits comfortably with any of them). They were just happy to provide the audience with a 'trip down memory lane'. They discussed various reasons why the team from the 80's & 90's was so successful. What it meant both individually and collectively to play for this great club, and along the way 'threw in' some very funny anecdotes in addition to some insightful comment.

One highlight was the bond the players had with the supporters during their playing days. Obviously, it was the amateur era, and they all probably socialised with supporters more than was healthy in some cases. It did however give the feeling 'we were in it together!'

The consensus was it had been an extremely entertaining evening. The event also raised money for the BRSC charity, Bath Rugby Foundation.

In the words of David Trick, "It was a joy to be part of the event and wonderful to see supporters in the audience who were with us back in the day, as well as a few 'younger faces' who would not have seen us play, but wanted to hear what we had to say."
