Bath Rugby Foundation continues to support our students even after they leave.

Supporting our young people goes beyond our Hubs and project deliveries. Last Friday, we welcomed back some former Alternative Learning Hub students to catch up on their progress since leaving the Foundation.

Our Operations Manager, Joe, who is being lifted by students, shared more about the event: "Last week, we invited our old ALH students to the hub to catch up and hear about their journeys since leaving Bath Rugby Foundation. It was amazing to see so many old faces walk back through the door and learn about their lives, with students now working as sports coaches, carers, delivery drivers, bar managers, and Bank Supervisors."

What are the students saying?

Shakira, a HITZ (now ALH) student from 2019, said: “It’s been so nice coming back and seeing the staff again; the Foundation is a home from home, and I always feel safe and welcomed when I come back here. I owe BRF so much; they helped me develop my confidence and opened my eyes to what I could go on and become. I now work as a carer, helping other people live happy and fulfilling lives and have my own flat with my boyfriend.”

Stan, a learner from 2020, says: “It’s been a difficult time since leaving BRF, lots of ups and downs, but I’m pleased to say that I’m now working full time and haven’t touched drugs for the last 4 years! Coming back here has been just the motivation I’ve needed recently! BRF will always be my home.”
