This permanent position offers a fulfilling chance to change the lives of young people through education and sports. About the Role As an Alternative Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored education and sports programmes to our students at the Alternative Learning Hub. Key responsibilities include: Programme Quality & Delivery: Deliver high-quality PSHE, social curriculum, and sports sessions tailored to students’ needs; plan sessions, create schemes of work, and conduct associated risk assessments. Safeguarding, Risk & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies. Finance, Data & Impact: Record student attendance, support data collection, and maintain equipment. Partnerships & Profile: Foster positive relationships with students and partner schools; support promotional activities in collaboration with the Communications Manager; represent the Foundation within the community as an ambassador. General Responsibilities: Participate in regular one-to-one meetings with the Alternative Learning Officer. Qualifications Essential: Current safeguarding and first aid certifications (or willingness to update). Level 2 Coaching Qualification and/or qualifications relevant to youth work and mentoring. Additional Requirements Applicants must hold a full and clean UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle.
