Having grown up locally in different areas of Bath , Joe's passion for Bath Rugby and the local community came from a young age. Having represented  his county at rugby and athletics , Joe went on to further study physical education and public services at Beechen Cliff School and Bath College. Alongside his studies , Joe committed spare time to  volunteering  at local schools,  where he soon developed his first taste of working with young people  through sports coaching and mentoring.

Joe joined Bath Rugby Foundation in 2011 as a junior member of staff. Completing an apprenticeship pathway,  Joe soon scaled the ranks as a qualified coach and tutor  leading  delivery across a spectrum of  Premiership Rugby and Foundation  programmes including HITZ , Move Like A Pro , Urban Rugby Squad and Advantage. Joe now works as part of the senior management team at Bath Rugby Foundation, overseeing  all operational and safeguarding aspects for the charity.

“Working for Bath Rugby Foundation and representing my childhood club Bath Rugby, is truly a privilege." Joe says. “Being able to provide young people in our community access to sport and education that enables them to gain self-belief and independence, fills me with immense pride every day.”

“I have a strong affinity with our employability projects at the Foundation, as my personal experiences as a young man in Bath and my journey into the world of work allow me to  particularly relate and  empathise  with the young people that come to us.”

“Children are our future, being able to do what I love most and invest in them, is a dream come true !”
