HALO SKYDIVE ATTEMPT

This is an extreme high altitude descent requiring specilised military supplementary oxygen systems.

The High Altitude Low Opening HALO parachute decent is reserved for the most experienced Special Forces Units throughout out the world.

This descent will exceed the altitude used by special forces to avoid enemy detection. The team will spend one hour breathing pure oxygen from an enclosed system before an assent to 30,000ft above sea level. This procedure was developed during the space race to mitigate decompression sickness within astronauts by removing nitrogen from the blood stream and vital organs.

Using digital navigation systems and visual spotting techniques to avoid commercial airliners the team will exit a tailored high power aircraft and begin their two and a half minute free fall to earth.

They will be exposed to speeds exceeding 220MPH and temperatures below -40 Degrees C. The lack of oxygen at these altitude means without supplementary support a human will have only 2 min of consciousness.

This is a serious attempt at a jaw dropping jump to raise vital funds for Bath Rugby Foundation and we couldn't be more proud and grateful.
