After six races, six countries and six consecutive weekends, Anthony Locke and his wife, Rachael, crossed the finish line of their incredible 6 Nations 60k Challenge - raising an outstanding £6,584, or £7,858 including Gift Aid, for Bath Rugby Foundation and The Lewis Moody Foundation.

To celebrate his 60th birthday, Anthony set himself the ambitious challenge of running a 10k race in each of the Six Nations countries during the 2026 tournament, travelling between each destination by electric vehicle rather than plane. Alongside Rachael, he completed races in Scotland, Wales, Ireland, England, Italy and France, overcoming everything from steep mountain trails and thick mud to coastal headwinds and international travel.

The pair finished the challenge in style in rural France, both recording their fastest times of the series. Anthony crossed the line in 48:13, while Rachael achieved 58:45, securing 3rd place in her age category.

Reflecting on the challenge, Anthony said:

"So that's it, Challenge completed! We've had a great time doing this, pleased that our bodies have survived and now looking forward to a rest! A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us with messages and donations.

"We're thrilled to have raised almost £6,000 (with Gift Aid) for the two fantastic causes that we've chosen to fundraise for and knowing that this will help make a difference to lots of lives has made it all worthwhile."

At Bath Rugby Foundation, we cannot thank Anthony and Rachael enough for their dedication, determination and generosity. They have given up countless hours to train, travelled thousands of miles and pushed themselves through six demanding races - all to help create brighter futures for vulnerable children and young people across Bath and North East Somerset.

The money they have raised will help us continue delivering life-changing education, employability and inclusion programmes, supporting young people to build confidence, develop resilience, improve their wellbeing and create pathways to brighter futures.

Everyone at Bath Rugby Foundation is incredibly grateful to Anthony, Rachael and every single person who donated, cheered them on and supported them throughout the challenge. Together, you have made a lasting difference to the lives of local young people.
