Guests at Bath’s biggest hotel have boosted Bath Rugby Foundation by adding a donation to their bill at the end of their stay.

The Bath Rugby Foundation and Apex City of Bath Hotel formed a partnership last year which saw hotel guests offered the chance boost the charity for every night they stay in the city. The hotel on James Street West offered their guests a chance to include a £1 donation on their bill.

And at half time in Bath Rugby’s clash with Northampton Saints General Manager Michael Musgrave handed over a cheque for £1,347 to Bath Rugby Foundation’s Head of Fundraising, Halena Coury.

Michael Musgrave, General Manager of Apex City of Bath Hotel, said: “We are thrilled to support such a vital charity within the area and cannot thank our loyal customers enough for their wonderful donations and support.

“We believe it is our responsibility to support charities and local groups within Bath and our partnership with Bath Rugby Foundation has gone from strength to strength and continues to be a great success.”

Halena said: “Bath Rugby Foundation exists to bridge the gap between the poorest and most affluent areas, and build a positive, supporting community in Bath and surrounding area. We are giving hope to youngsters who have had the toughest start to life.

“Without the amazing support of donors such as Apex Hotels, our work at the Foundation would not be possible.”

The Apex City of Bath hotel features 177 bedrooms, restaurant, bar, gym and pool alongside Bath’s only purpose-built city centre conference facility. The four-star hotel sits in the heart of Bath and is only a short walk from Bath Spa Train station and close to plenty of the top tourist attractions within the city.
