Bath Rugby Foundation hosted an Inclusion Festival for five primary schools this week, using the core values of rugby to teach the students: teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.

Yesterday, our Community Team hosted an Inclusion Festival in partnership with Bath Area Sports Partnership.

Five schools attended the event: St John (Midsomer Norton), Midsomer Norton primary school, Trinity Church School (Radstock), Pensford Primary school and Longvernal Primary School.

🎾 The various stations (tennis, rugby, football, golf and cricket) meant the groups could move around easily and experience different sports in a fun and inclusive environment. The pupils are taught with the core values of sport in mind: teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.

Our Inclusion Officer, Jack Hill, said of the event: We are very fortunate to be able to work in partnership with BANES Area Sports Partnership to host this summers Inclusion Festival at Midsomer Norton Cricket Club.

"This year we welcomed five primary schools and their learners with additional needs. We offered a wide range of sports for the young people to experience at different stations.

"We hope to engage more young people in sports they may not have the opportunity to access."
