Bath Rugby Foundation is continuing its mission to support young people by delivering its BreakOut provision directly into communities where it is needed most.

In partnership with Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership (SASP) and local schools, the Foundation is working to remove barriers to participation and ensure more young people can access positive opportunities close to home.

The need for this work is clear. 33% of all school-aged children are in receipt of pupil premium or other benefits - meaning many face significant barriers to accessing sport, enrichment activities and safe spaces outside of school.

Rather than expecting young people to travel or overcome these barriers alone, Bath Rugby Foundation brings its provision directly into communities through its BreakOut programme.

This Easter, the Foundation delivered a free, two-day multi-sport camp for young people aged 9-14. The programme provided a safe, inclusive environment where participants could take part in a range of activities, build confidence, develop new skills and form meaningful friendships.

Delivered in partnership with SASP, the programme reflects a shared commitment to increasing physical activity levels and improving outcomes for young people across the region.

BreakOut is about more than sport. It is about creating opportunities, building resilience and giving young people a sense of belonging - particularly for those who may otherwise miss out.

By focusing delivery in areas of greatest need, Bath Rugby Foundation ensures its work is both targeted and impactful, reaching young people who benefit most from support.

The Foundation will continue to expand this approach, working with partners to reach more communities and create more opportunities for young people to thrive.

We don’t wait for young people to find us - we go to them.
